When are Membership Mixers?
Membership Mixers are the third Wednesday of the month. They run from 5:30pm to 7:30pm and are open house style. A business card is required for entrance and there is no cost to attend.
Where are Membership Mixers?
Membership Mixers vary in location throughout the county. Locations and directions to the mixers are always posted on www.slochamber.org.
Can I bring a guest or non-member to a Membership Mixer?
Non-members and/or guests are allowed to attend one mixer to ‘check out’ the event. After one attendance, they will be contacted regarding joining the Chamber.
Can my business host a Membership Mixer?
Yes. Please note that Membership Mixers book several months in advance, sometimes even years in advance.

When is Good Morning San Luis Obispo (GMSLO)?
GMSLO is the fourth Thursday of every month at Grace Church (1350 Osos Street). Doors open at 7am for networking; the program begins at 7:30am and is completed by 8:45am. We suggest that you arrive no later than 7:20am as attendance is between 250-300 members. Please note that in November the date is not the fourth Thursday due to Thanksgiving and is changed to either the fourth Tuesday or fifth Thursday depending on the year. Also, there is no December Good Morning SLO.
What is a soapbox at GMSLO?
A soapbox is a purchased two minute ‘commercial’ placed between invited speakers. It includes the ability to distribute fliers at the table tops. Note that soapboxes can book months in advance
Can I distribute fliers at GMSLO?
As a member you can distribute fliers at GMSLO. You will need to bring a minimum of 260 fliers and arrive by 7am to distribute them. Please note that there is a modest fee of $55 to distribute fliers, you can pay it at the door that morning.
How do I sign my business or organization up for a ribbon-cutting ceremony?
Please contact the Member Services Department . Note that we recommend the ribbon-cutting ceremonies be conducted Monday through Friday at 11:30am or 4:30pm to accommodate our volunteer Ambassadors who attend the event.
Can I borrow the Chamber’s ribbon cutting scissors?
No, as a policy we do not lend the scissors out but are happy to facilitate a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
When are e-Flyers due and when are they distributed?
e-Flyers are due the third Wednesday of the month and email out the following Monday. Please visit www.slochamber.org, under “About the Chamber/Promotional Opportunities” for more information.
Are member mailing labels available for purchase?
Yes, the Chamber’s membership mail list can be purchased in either printed mailing labels or in an excel spreadsheet. They are one-time only and the Chamber requires a use agreement to be signed. Payment must be received in full prior to labels being created. We ask for 48-hours lead time to produce the labels.
Are member email lists available for purchase?
No, as a policy the Chamber does not sell the emails of its members.
How many mailing labels are available?
How can I make changes to the Chamber database, i.e. add an employee to receive email correspondence, change email address, phone number etc.?
