Event cancellation and refund policy
The San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce is proud to be the host of a wide range of events throughout the year. In an effort to maintain a diverse and relevant slate of high-quality events, please be advised of the Chamber’s official event cancellation and refund policy.
Refunds will be managed based on receipt of a written request for cancellation/refund.
7 DAYS PRIOR TO EVENT: registration fees will be refunded IN FULL
7 DAYS OR LESS PRIOR TO EVENT: registration fees will NOT BE REFUNDED
All on-site registrants for any Chamber event must be paid in full upon admittance and cannot be invoiced. On-site registration is not allowed for every event and is based upon capacity.
If the registered attendee is unable to attend the event, substitutions ARE allowed. Substitutions must be made at check-in. Substitutions for trips are on a case by case basis and must be coordinated with the staff person in charge of the trip.
All SLO Chamber events are subject to this cancellation/refund policy with the exception of events/trips where travel is involved. Because the SLO Chamber is subject to and responsible for all travel fees in accordance with third-party vendor requirements, a separate cancellation policy is established for each event/trip. Please coordinate with the Chamber staff members responsible for arranging the event/trip for specific details on cancellation/refund policies.

Media at Chamber events: As part of its media plan, the Chamber encourages members of the local media to attend and cover Chamber events. The Chamber does require that the media notify the Chamber’s Marketing Department at least 24 hours in advance of the event. If it is a paid event the media may attend for free however are asked to refrain from participating. Meals are not included.
If you represent a media group that the Chamber has not worked with in the past and is not familiar with please be prepared to submit work samples or media credentials.
