Local program lowers employers' cost of hiring, training

The Prado Road Business Park is set to provide more space for new and existing businesses to thrive in San Luis Obispo. Program extension leads to $1.8 billion in small business lending
The U.S. Small Business Administration's ability to provide small business loans that are enhanced with special provisions of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), including a higher guarantee of SBA-backed loans and a waiver of loan fees normally paid by borrowers, was extended last week until March 28. Sustainable housing community nears completion
After a successful launch in August 2008, the Las Ventanas Ranch has announced that Phase 1 is nearly sold out. Most of the home sites have been purchased by current South San Luis Obispo County residents already familiar with the area’s natural beauty, but the project has attracted buyers from Southern California and the East Coast as well.
