His work uses elements and ideas from politics\, television\, hip-hop\, science and economics to discuss the possibilities of time\, space\, empathy\, dignity and antagonism. His work has been exhibited throughout the U.S. including Armory Center for the Arts in Pasadena\, LAXART\, Regina Rex\, The Contemporary Austin\, and 5 Car Garage at Emma Gray Gallery. Additionally\, his work has been discussed in ASPECT: The Chronicle of New Media Art and his writing has appeared in Marcel. Murthy received his MFA from The California Institute of the Arts and his BA in Visual Art and BS in Physics from UCSD. \nGallery open Mon-Fri and 1st & 3rd Sun of the month.

DESCRIPTION:Vienna was the birthplace of classical music and training ground for each of the composers in this program.  Beethoven hails from the “First Viennese School”\, whose membership also boasts Mozart and Haydn.  Wolf\, a classmate of Mahler’s was a master of German Lieder and carrid that lyrical tradition into his Italian Serenade.
