The symposium series is designed to cover important and timely industry topics\, focused on two key goals:\n1.	Perfecting operational effectiveness\n2.	Increasing revenue \nSpeakers include: \nChuck Davison\, Visit San Luis Obispo County\nChuck Davison\, President & CEO of Visit San Luis Obispo County will be providing an overview of current VSLOC initiatives\, including our Strategic Plan\, the launch of new air service to Seattle\, SAVOR – A San Luis Obispo County Experience and strategic partnership efforts with Visit California. \nPaul Krause\, AmericanTours International\nPaul Krause\, Product Manager of AmericanTours International\, one of America’s largest group and FIT receptive tour operator companies will be giving an overview of what a receptive operator is\, and explain the benefits of working with receptive operators. \nWallace Group/SLOCOG\nWallace Group and SLOCOG will discuss Measure J\, a proposed tax initiative that would support infrastructure funding throughout San Luis Obispo County. \nLindsey Miller\, Pacific Gas & Electric\nIn light of PG&E’s recent announcement of Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant’s impending closure\, Lindsey Miller from the External Affairs & Public Policy Department at PG&E will describe the phase-out process\, and what the closure of the plant means for San Luis Obispo County lodging partners and members. \nJohn Spatafore\, Homeless Foundation\nToday we face the challenge of caring for our community’s homeless and working poor who seek to return to self-sufficiency. The 40 Prado project is working to solve this issue by streamlining current homeless programs with a brand-new\, innovative facility. John Spatafore\, Chair of the Homeless Foundation\, will discuss this program and its potential impact on the tourism industry. \nThis educational symposium is complimentary to all lodging constituents and members\, and is a benefit of Visit San Luis Obispo County membership. When she joined the cast of “MADtv\,” the character of “Bon Qui Qui” was born and the disgruntled fast-food employee with no filter became another viral hit\, enjoyed by over 65 million people worldwide. \nIn 2009\, Anjelah recorded her first one-hour special\, “That’s How We Do It;” her second special\, “The Homecoming Show\,” is now available on DVD and her third special was a 2015 Netflix Original.
