SUMMARY:CraftArt Market
DESCRIPTION:The day after Thanksgiving until New Years Eve\, the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art opens its annual Craft Art Market—offering shoppers a dazzling array of handmade one-of-a kind gifts. Local artists present their beautiful\, whimsical\, and functional art glass\, fine jewelry\, textiles\, home décor\, woodwork and ceramics and much more— transforming the Nybak Wing into an art boutique. Now in its 30th year\, this fundraiser benefits SLOMA’s youth art education classes and our local artists. \nDuring the Craft Art Market\, SLOMA is open every day from 11 am to 5 pm\, beginning November 25 through December 30 from 11am – 5pm. SLOMA closes at 3 pm on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve and will be closed on Christmas and New Years Day.

SUMMARY:Benjamin Franklin Comes to SLO!
DESCRIPTION:SLOCA is proud to announce the arrival of Benjamin Franklin right here in San Luis Obispo! \nThis is a man who has traveled all the way from the 18th century to be with us and tell us a bit about his remarkable life. During his 84 years\, he became an innovative and successful businessman; an influential writer and publisher; an internationally honored scientist and inventor; a man of enormous social conscience and contribution; and a key Founding Father of our country—indeed\, the “First American\,” as many have called him. We have asked him to make this unusual trip across the centuries to share some reflections about those traits that made him “healthy\, wealthy\, and wise.” Please join us in welcoming the First American\, the remarkable Dr. Benjamin Franklin to San Luis Obispo! \nThis program will involve an interactive and informative Question/Answer segment with Dr. Franklin and is appropriate for all-ages.
