While we are a long way from China here on the Central Coast\, many elements revered in China are here — cypress trees with their irregular balance\, foggy atmosphere\, fish and birds which are subjects of her paintings. In 1998\, she began focusing her artistic efforts on colored pencil drawing and has slowly built up her portfolio. \nEach picture takes about 20 to 25 hours to complete\, depending on the complexity of the background.
