SUMMARY:County Holds a Second Public Input Meeting on Health Agency Director Recruitment
DESCRIPTION:The County of San Luis Obispo is holding a second public meeting to get input as it begins searching for a new Health Agency Director. Anyone interested in providing feedback is encouraged to take a few minutes to fill out an e-survey or attend a public input meeting on Monday\, January 22\, 2018 from 5:30pm to 6:30pm in the Arts & Crafts Room at the Colony Park Community Center in Atascadero (5599 Traffic Way).   \n“We want to know what qualities the new Health Agency Director should bring to the position to best meet the entire community’s needs\,” said County Human Resources Director Tami Douglas-Schatz.   \nThose unable to attend this meeting can complete the e-survey above or contact Wendi Brown\, WBCP Inc.\, at wendi@wbrowncreative.com. The County hired WBCP\, Inc. to assist in the executive search for this position.   \nThe County announced the resignation of Health Agency Director Jeff Hamm in November 2017. Hamm agreed to stay on until April 2018 during the recruitment process. The County is working with WBCP Inc. to conduct a nationwide search for a new Health Agency Director who can continue addressing our community’s challenging health system problems and concerns\, including the mental health treatment of County jail inmates\, the growing statewide mental health crisis and its effects on our community\, and upcoming changes to the County’s animal shelter and services.
