DESCRIPTION:Al Jardine\, a founding member of The Beach Boys\, to present his first California multimedia show at The Clark Center\nOn Saturday\, February 17\, Al Jardine\, a founding member of The Beach Boys\, will present his first California multimedia show at The Clark Center\, for what is part of a nationwide tour which began on Tuesday\, January 23 in Minneapolis\, Minnesota.\n“Al chose the Central Coast to lunch his first California show because of its beautiful beaches and great surf. This is also the only show scheduled for Central and Southern California\, and is likely the first show of its kind by any member of The Beach Boys\,” says show producer Erik Long.\n“The show is a very much a storytellers’ style evening. That is intentional. It is designed to be acoustic\, up close and intimate. There will be multimedia aspects\, but the thrust of the show will be the music\, and the stories behind how it came to be\,” says show executive producer Keith Putney.\nAn epic tale of America’s band alive from their earliest days of recording their very first song\, “Surfin’” up through “Surfin’ Safari\,” “Help Me Rhonda\,” “Sloop John B” and that magical year 1966\, right through to today and his debut solo release\, “A Postcard From California”. Al is also joined by his son Matt\, known for his breathtaking falsettos on Brian Wilson’s most recent Pet Sounds 50th Anniversary tour.\nJardine was born on September 3\, 1942 in Lima\, Ohio. The family moved to California\, where Jardine attended Hawthorne High School. Also attending the school were Brian\, Dennis and Carl Wilson and their cousin Mike Love. In 1961\, they formed a singing group\, the Pendletones\, which later became The Beach Boys. Jardine\, who played lead guitar and sang harmony\, was the lead singer on “Help Me\, Rhonda\,” which was a No. 1 hit for two weeks on the Billboard Hot 100.

DESCRIPTION:Black Violin is the blend of classical\, hip hop\, rock\, R&B\, and bluegrass music. In the last decade\, Wil Baptiste and Kevin “Kev Marcus” Sylvester have performed an average of 200 shows a year in 49 states and 36\ncountries. Their groundbreaking collaboration has been enjoyed in concerts for the troops in Iraq and at Barack Obama’s official President’s Inaugural Ball. Individually and together\, Black Violin has collaborated\nwith the likes of P. Diddy\, Kanye West\, 50 Cent\, Tom Petty\, Aerosmith\, Aretha Franklin and The Eagles.
