Visit the San Luis Obispo Botanical Garden Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm to experience the textural floral collection of this beautiful original artwork. \n\n\n\n\n \n\n \n\n\n \n\n\n \n\n\n \n\n\n \n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n Artist Perez Salazar draws inspiration for the bounty and beauty of nature. He states about his oversized paintings\, “Flower blossoms have been the promise before the fruit. It is nature’s way of announcing its unfolding power to create and to deliver future nourishment … flowers have done so for thousands of years. The diversity and large amounts of blossoms fill and overflow the formal ground to the max\, producing heighten feelings of positive human emotions of plenitude and abundance.” \nImmerse yourself in these splendid paintings at the San Luis Obispo Botanical Garden. All pieces are for sale\, and proceeds benefit the Garden. \nJuan Manuel Perez Salazar resides on the central coast\, where he is an avid artist and gardener. His work has been displayed in\, Mexico\, India\, and throughout California. His studio practice explores boundaries of painting and sculpture\, crossing and transposing various modes of styles in search of his own images. The experiential and cultural associations of specific subjects and materials fuels his exploration. Inspired by the symbolism and beauty of the natural world\, he utilizes blossoms to seduce the observer to take pleasure in watching flowers bloom. This Jazz series presents some of the finest local jazz groups for your entertainment experience and is curated by the SLO Jazz Festival. The location for the jazz series\, now in its 5th year\, is again at the Court Street terrace upstairs by Pottery Barn\, Chico’s and Sephora. Some seating is provided and lawn chairs are also allowed at this free mall jazz series (please don’t block store entrances\, stairways\, or the elevator). \nCourt Street Summer Jazz runs every other Saturday from June 8 through September 14\, 2019\, with each show from 12:30pm – 2:30pm.

Attendees will enjoy an afternoon of yoga and a sound bath\, followed by wine and light food. I wanted to connect and see how I could have this promoted within the community. Tickets are being sold on Event Brite.  \n\n\nThe Sculpture\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n“Shakti” is a 7’ tall bronze sculpture of a meditating woman\, brought to life – some might say “channeled” – through artist David Van Zandt over a period of three years. She is a transmitter of positive\, life-force energy\, and represents the expansion of that energy in the individual as well as the rise of the divine feminine in our culture. Experiencing Shakti and the life-force she emanates\, in person\, is a unique and powerful experience. Meditating with her can be life-changing.
