SUMMARY:Central Coast Economic Forecast hosts State of the Nation's Economy Webinar
DESCRIPTION:The Central Coast Economic Forecast (CCEF) recently held the first of three virtual events to share insights and perspectives about the state of the nation’s economy presented by Dr. Christopher Thornberg\, a leading economist and founding partner of Beacon Economics. \nMore than 200 business and community leaders from San Luis Obispo County participated in the event\, which was held virtually on July 10\, 2020.  Platinum sponsors included AMF Media Group\, Amazon\, Bank of America\, Cal Poly Technology Park and KSBY-TV. \nThis year\, in accordance with precautionary health measures\, the CCEF made the decision to move to a virtual format\, offering a three-part series beginning in July and culminating with the CCEF Annual Event in November. The digital series is designed to deliver relevant and actionable economic data and analysis to the greater San Luis Obispo community throughout the year\, providing vital information to help navigate current conditions and pave a road for recovery. “Now\, more than ever\, we feel a sense of urgency and responsibility to share the key takeaways with our community”\, said Jeff Thoma\, Chair of the Central Coast Economic Forecast.  “It’s our hope that broadly distributing Friday’s program will positively impact more local businesses than ever before.” \nWhile the first event was held exclusively for sponsors and their guests\, the Central Coast Economic Forecast is providing a link to the recording on their website. \nThe second virtual event is scheduled to take place on September 18 and will focus on the economic outlook for California and the Central Coast. The third and Annual Event will be held on November 18 and will be open to the public to purchase tickets. \nThe Central Coast Economic Forecast was created to provide local businesses\, nonprofit organizations\, government and individuals with insights needed to understand the local economy and plan for its future. This year\, their main effort has been dedicated to providing our community business leaders with vital information as they navigate the uncertainties around COVID-19. \nIf interested in becoming a sponsor of this year’s events\, please contact Stephanie Bertoux at stephanie@centralcoasteconomicforecast.com or visit \nCentralCoastEconomicForecast.com for more information. \n
