SUMMARY:Let There Be Lights at the Villages of SLO
DESCRIPTION:On Friday\, December 4th\, 2020\, at 6:00 p.m.\, The Villages of San Luis Obispo will be instantly transformed by a dazzling display of holiday lights. Intentionally designed to be enjoyed as a drive-through event\, the press is invited to attend this socially-distanced\, Covid-safe event at 55 Broad Street in San Luis Obispo. A longstanding local retirement community\, The Villages includes Independent Living\, Assisted Living and Memory Care. \n“In the year of Covid-19\, we wanted to do something to take the place of our annual holiday open house\,” said Villages Vice President of Operations\, Lisa Hulse. “At a time when inside gatherings are not safe\, we wanted our residents and their families to see and feel the joy of the season just the same.” \nBetween 6 and 7 p.m.\, Villages residents will enjoy refreshments from an outdoor Hot Cocoa and Spiked Eggnog bar\, while Dickens’ carolers from A Wish Your Heart Makes entertain. Saint Nick has promised to make a special appearance\, too. \nThe Light Up The Villages lights display will remain in place all month\, from December 4th to January 6th and the public is invited to drive through it any night after dark until 9 p.m.

SUMMARY:PRWCA Blood Drive at Broken Earth Winery
DESCRIPTION:Take Part in the PRWCA’s Blood Drive \nKeeping our local area supplied with the blood it needs is a year-long challenge. Because of this\, the PRWCA has teamed up with Vitalant again and invites you to take part in another blood drive! \nWednesday\, December 30\n9:00 AM – 1:00 PM\nBroken Earth Winery\n1650 Ramada Drive\, Paso Robles \nThe drive will take place inside Broken Earth Winery to ensure proper social distancing. \nWith the current COVID-19 situation\, we highly recommend scheduling a time as appointments will be honored before walk-ins. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOn average this process takes 1 hour with the donation only taking 10 minutes\, but donors can save up to 20 minutes by completing their Fast Track Health History Questionnaire online (must be completed on the day of the blood drive). \nThe PRWCA will be awarding the organization that sends the most donors with our grand prize of a Los Robles Café tacos lunch for 6! All members will have to do is state what business or organization they are donating on behalf of when they arrive to count towards their score. Family and friends are welcome to donate on their behalf too! \nWe invite you to support the PRWCA\, Broken Earth Winery and Vitalant in providing blood to our county.
