DESCRIPTION:Join us for swordfights and slapstick\, tyrants and fools\, lovers and madmen\, resulting in unfettered shenanigans suitable for one and all. The evening ends with the Rude Mechanicals performing their tour de force tragical comedy “Pyramus and Thisbe.” \nBrought to you by Shakespeare Festival veteran performers\, and a surprise guest star or two… \nAll shows begin at 6PM. Doors Open at 5PM. Running time 90 minutes.  No intermission. \nBrevity is the Soul of Wit. \nTickets on sale now! Must be purchased in advance. \nPack your picnic –  grab some friends\, bring your standard height lawn chairs and enjoy live theatre again\, outdoors on a beautiful central coast evening. \nFilipponi Ranch Cellars will sell their wonderful wine by the glass or bottle\, so please\, no outside alcohol allowed.  The Filipponis donate their space for our performances\, and we want to support them for contributing so much to the artistic culture of our beautiful area by supplying this venue for the festival. \nPlease see our re-opening guidelines here.

DESCRIPTION:Sat\, Aug 28\, 2021 7:00 PM\n\nGet Tickets\n\n\n\nSun\, Aug 29\, 2021 2:00 PM\n\nGet Tickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\nExperience in movement the timeless characters and charming themes of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s The Little Prince. This original ballet for both children and adults follows the prince as he looks at our world with the wisdom of a child\, highlighting the absurdities of adults\, and learning what it is to matter to another. Performed to an eclectic score with music ranging from Debussy to Swing\, Contemporary African to Electronic\, the story and original ballet reminds us\, “all grown-ups were once children… but only few of them remember it.”The second act includes two contemporary works from Directors Maartje Lawrence-Hermans and Ryan Lawrence\, which were premiered this past spring at an outdoor venue as one of SLO County’s first live performances. The works\, Holding Connection and Lost in Place were made during various degrees of lock-down and mark the unique period we have just experienced.
