DESCRIPTION:Get Ready to Roll — Downtown SLO Announces Skate Mission Plaza Pop-Up! \nEnjoy a pop-up outdoor roller rink in the heart of downtown San Luis Obispo May 2022 \n  \nDowntown SLO\, in partnership with the City of San Luis Obispo\, is bringing a groovy new pop-up installation to Mission Plaza this May. Visitors are encouraged to lace up their skates and enjoy an outdoor roller-rink as part of Skate Mission Plaza\, presented by Guaranteed Rate. Skaters can enjoy music\, a disco ball\, and flower-power-inspired decorations all in the heart of downtown San Luis Obispo. Skates will be available for rental. This is a ticketed event; tickets and waivers will be required for entry. \n  \nAll the fun begins Friday\, May 6\, 2022. The rink will operate seven days a week\, with skate sessions beginning at the top of each hour. \nSKATE MISSION PLAZA: Monday\, May 6 – Sunday\, May 22\, 2022\nMonday\, Tuesday\, Wednesday: 3 – 7 PM\nThursday\, Friday\, Saturday: 3 – 9 PM\nSunday: 2 – 6 PM \n  \nSkaters will be admitted through online ticketing via EventBrite. Attendees are encouraged to purchase tickets well in advance\, as limited space is available each session. Tickets will be available beginning Friday\, April 15\, 2022. SUMMARY:Central Coast Follies: Free Dance Lessons in May
DESCRIPTION:Central Coast Follies Offers Free Dance Lessons in May! \nCelebrating 20 consecutive years of entertaining audiences in the Central Coast  \n benefitting Parkinson’s Disease research — a variety of activities are planned: \n\nChoreographer Jason Sumabat is offering free jazz and tap classes five Sundays in May for children as well as family\, guardians\, and friends to come and have fun learning! Join him for tap class 2-2:45 PM and for jazz class 2:45-3:30 PM at Dellos Performing Arts Center in Pismo Beach. Wear clothes you can move in and comfortable shoes to dance in. Masks are worn at all times in the dance studio. Come to as many or all of the classes as you can. The movement is great exercise.\nThe Choreographer will be casting children for the Fall/Winter show in May. For questions about dance classes or casting\, please contact Karen Rasch\, Assistant Director\, at raschacts@yahoo.com.\nPrivate vocal/piano/guitar lessons are scheduled according to availability and taught through Zoom currently\, and will resume in person when Covid restrictions and parameters of transmission are lowered.\nAdditional free\, short performances will be held in the city of San Luis Obispo to showcase the Central Coast Follies’ talent. The 2022 goal is to donate $22\,000\, which will reach Central Coast Follies’ accumulated donation goal of $400\,000! So much progress in treatments has been made in the past 20 years\, and this group is proud to have helped make a difference.
