DESCRIPTION:Summer Surf Camps For Kids (Grades K-8) \nWeek-Long Day Camps Starting June 6th\, 2022 Until August 26th\, 2022 in Beautiful Pismo Beach! \nOur week-long day camps run Monday through Friday from 8:30-1:30 each week this summer starting June 6th. The last week of camp is the week of August 22nd. Camps are limited to no more than 10 kids a week. Camps are filled with surfing\, beach play\, playing in the ocean\, making friends\, and creating epic memories. We are stoked to share our love of the ocean by teaching campers about water safety and surfing fundamentals. DESCRIPTION:YPNG’s Fall softball season will begin in mid-August. The season is 10 weeks long\, with games taking place every week (excluding holidays). \nGames are played at El Chorro Regional Park (across from Cuesta College) or at Santa Rosa Park in SLO with starting times at either 6:30\, 7:40\, or 8:50. \nOnce signups are completed and coaches assigned\, teams will be drafted and you will be contacted by your assigned coach who will also provide you with your team t-shirt and game schedule. DESCRIPTION:The PRWCA is assisting SLO Food Bank in collecting wines for their Volunteer Appreciation Event on Aug. 26. Food Bank has over 1\,800 volunteers who donate more than 19\,000 hours of their time. Through their time\, 30\,000 neighbors in need are able to have access to nutritious food. SUMMARY:Concerts in the Plaza: Truth About Seafood plus Steve Key
DESCRIPTION:Concerts in the Plaza\, presented by Sunset Honda and hosted by Downtown SLO\, is the largest free concert series on the Central Coast. \nConcerts will be held every Friday from June 24 – August 26 from 4:30 – 8:00 PM at Mission Plaza in Downtown San Luis Obispo. \nAll concerts are free to the public! \n\nTruth About Seafood is a guitar-driven hard rock band hailing from central California. Founded as a side-project by Paul Bostaph in 1992 (drummer for Slayer)\, TAS has none of the thrash metal roots of its founders. More akin to Foo Fighters\, Queens of the Stone Age\, and Soundgarden\, Frank Zappa TAS marries hard rock guitars with melodic vocals and themes. TAS has had the honor of sharing the stage with Stone Temple Pilots\, Toad the Wet Sprocket\, the Mother Hips\, Steel Panther\, Young Dubliners and others. \nA native of Brooklyn NY\, Steve Key  grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and studied journalism at San Jose State University. He alternated working day jobs as a reporter and editor of weekly newspapers\, with playing 4-hour gigs at night\, covering the likes of James Taylor\, Cat Stevens\, Jim Croce\, Janis Ian\, Joni Mitchell\, John Denver\, the Eagles\, the Beatles and Creedence Clearwater. Since 2006\, Steve has lived on California’s Central Coast. He was featured at the Live Oak Music Festival in 2014. He now produces a live music series called Songwriters At Play.
