Scott Eades\, Caltrans District 5 Director\, will join us to provide a full picture on the reason for the closures\, construction progress\, reopening dates and will even give us a sneak peek into how Highway 1 repair and 46 East widening projects are going. \n\nPUBLIC HEALTH POST COVID \nAfter decades of working behind the scenes to improve quality of life and reduce preventable death\, our public health heroes were thrust into the epicenter of the greatest healthcare challenge of the modern era. Now that emergency protocols have lifted\, Elizabeth Merson will share what it’s like to return to standard operations\, where attention is currently directed and how these incredible leaders are doing. \n\nNATIONAL AVOCADO DAY \nThe intricacies of local avocado growing\, from market fluctuations to ideal growing conditions\, are complex. Ahead of National Avocado Day on July 31\, Daryn Miller will join us onstage from Villa Pacifica Ranch to share more about what growing avocados looks like in our county. \n\nA NEW FACE IN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT \nAfter spending the last ten years in city planning and community development for the City of Beverly Hills.
