But despite an illustrious history\, it was not long ago that the art deco landmark’s future was in jeopardy. On April 28\, the group will perform Bernstein’s energetic Chichester Psalms\, with hints of dance music\, and fellow Jewish composer Ernest Bloch’s Avodath Hakodesh\, or Sacred Service.
