DESCRIPTION:Join us for an engaging discussion with Assemblyman Jordan Cunningham. Through prepared remarks and a moderated conversation\, our regional representative will address:\n\nHow the supermajority is impacting the legislative process\nHis top issues for the coming year including public safety and digital privacy\nHow the tenor in Sacramento has changed since he was first elected\nThe closure of the Diablo Canyon Power Plant\, the economic impact of the Highway 1 closure and other Central Coast issues\n\nRegistration includes lunch and program. \n\nCunningham was first elected in 2016 after serving as a deputy DA in the SLO County District Attorney’s office. He currently serves as vice chair of the Job\, Economic Development and Economy Committee as well as the Rules Committee. Additionally\, he is a member of the Agriculture\, Business and Professions\, Utilities and Energy\, and Transportation committees.\n\nHe recently worked to secure $85 million to help SLO County communities mitigate the impacts of the Diablo Canyon closure as well as $197 million to fix the deadly “Y” intersection of Highways 41 and 46 in Cholame.
