DESCRIPTION:Grab lunch from your favorite local restaurant (or your kitchen) and join us on Fridays from 12 – 12:30 PM on Facebook LIVE for a stimulating conversation with Wine History Project of San Luis Obispo Executive Director\, Libbie Agran and SLO Chamber President/CEO\, Jim Dantona. \nAbout this week’s guest: Soon after graduating from UCLA\, southern California native\, Libbie Agran began her career as a systems engineer for IBM. While gaining experience in portfolio management\, she was shocked to learn that these institutions only served the wealthy and not the middle class. Enlightened by this insight\, Agran started her own business a few years later which focused on designing strategies for single and married people to help them save\, invest and accumulate wealth. \nArgan has helped and assisted not only individuals and families throughout her career\, but nonprofits and community organizations as well through creating strong missions and boards\, raising funds\, and establishing endowment funds for long term financial stability. Her current focuses include the welfare of all children living in the county\, the Morro Coast Audubon\, the Land Conservancy and the environment\, including organic farming and food security. \nIn 2015 Libbie Agran established the Wine History Project to study the land\, microclimates\, grape varietals\, growers and winemakers who have shaped the wine history of San Luis Obispo County and continues to serve the organization today in her role as Executive Director.
