DESCRIPTION:Grab lunch from your favorite local restaurant (or your kitchen) and join us on Friday from 12 – 12:30 PM on Facebook LIVE for a stimulating conversation with SLO Chamber President/CEO\, Jim Dantona and El Camino Homeless Organization President and CEO\, Wendy Lewis. \nAbout this week’s guest: \nBefore joining ECHO in 2018\, Wendy worked at the SLO Food Bank  and was instrumental in increasing access to nutritious food to people facing hunger in SLO County. During her 10-year tenure\, she held many positions\, including Chief Operations Officer\, and led the acquisition of land and building of their new 20\,000 square foot headquarters. \nIn her current role\, Wendy has leveraged her experience and expertise to expand ECHO’s reach and fulfill their mission to empower people in SLO County to make positive change by providing food\, shelter\, and supportive services. Some of the recent initiatives the Wendy has led include growing ECHO from 50 beds at one facility to 140 beds at three facilities\, increasing staff from 6 to 20 professionals\, and adding 10 community programs that offer mental health support\, financial literacy and job placement. \nA Central Coast lifer\, Wendy Lewis grew up in Lompoc and moved to SLO County in 1986 to attend Cal Poly. There she met her husband Joe Lewis and 12 years later\, moved to Atascadero to raise their sons Jacob and Jeremy.
