DESCRIPTION:Grab lunch from your favorite local restaurant (or your kitchen) and join us on Friday from 12 – 12:30 PM on Facebook LIVE for a stimulating conversation with Bike SLO County Executive Director\, Rick Ellison and SLO Chamber President/CEO\, Jim Dantona. \nAbout this week’s guest: \nRick Ellison is the executive director of Bike SLO County\, a nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring\, educating\, advocating and working to build a safe\, connected community through bicycling.  \nEllison brings not only a strong professional background to the role\, but also a personal passion for the San Luis Obispo community and experience with multiple types of cycling. Athletically\, Rick has competed in triathlons for more than 30 years\, completing more than 100 races\, including seven Ironman distance races. In addition\, he has served as a collegiate triathlon coach for more than 15 years and garnered four National Collegiate Championships\, while coaching more than 1\,000 triathletes.  \nProfessionally\, Ellison has led community development\, alumni relations\, major gift fundraising and campaign fundraising in the higher education and health care sectors. Ellison holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
