DESCRIPTION:Join us on Friday evening\, August 7th\, at the San Luis Obispo History Center in the beautiful old Carnegie Library near the Mission in downtown SLO.  That evening is SLO’s Art After Dark event and will be the official opening of SLORRM’s visiting exhibit on the historic Pacific Coast Railway.  Andrew Merriam has put countless hours into designing this beautiful exhibit which will present vignettes of what life was like and why a railway from Avila to San Luis made a huge difference in the development of the town and\, eventually\, the entire county.  The exhibit will stay in the History Center through the end of October.

DESCRIPTION:The Central Coast Shakespeare Festival (CCSF) continues their partnership with the Filipponi Ranch in San Luis Obispo for live theatre outdoors on the beautiful ranch. \nPlaying Thursday through Sunday evenings now through Aug. 8\, the 2015 Festival brings you one of Shakespeare’s earliest comedies\, The Two Gentlemen of Verona directed by local actor/ director Suzy Newman. And\, The Winter’s Tale  – a story that weaves together comedy\, tragedy\, and romance directed by CCSF’s own Cindy Totten. \nFilipponi Ranch wines are available for purchase. DESCRIPTION:AG Village Summer Concert presents “Broadway on the Bandstand” on August 16th \nOperaSLO returns by popular demand to stage an all Broadway show!\nSponsored by Community Volkswagen and Rabobank –  NP Focus on KCPR Radio Station \nThe Arroyo Grande Village Summer Concert Series continues with another of its unique offerings on Sunday\, August 16th\, when Opera San Luis Obispo will present a show entitled Broadway on the Bandstand!  Join your friends at 1:00pm at the Rotary Bandstand in the Village of Arroyo Grande for this charming show.  Activities during the day will spotlight the concert sponsor Community Volkswagen and the featured nonprofit focus will be on Cal Poly’s KCPR Student Radio Station.  The Arroyo Grande Village Summer Concert Series is known for presenting the most eclectic and diverse musical offerings of all the regional summer series.  A fun raffle\, food\, drinks and free tours of historical buildings in Heritage Square Park are also always available.  This free Series is presented by the Arroyo Grande Village Improvement Association and the City of Arroyo Grande Recreation Services Department.  Rabobank again joins these organizations as the Featured Series Sponsor.  As a special treat this summer the Village Summer Concert Series and the Rotary Bandstand will each be celebrating their 10th Anniversaries!
