DESCRIPTION:The City of San Luis Obispo is full of hidden hiking gems.  We want you to get out of your routine and try a new hike (or seven).  To entice you\, if you are up to it\, a commemorative t-shirt is in store for those who complete the #PixOnPeaks challenge!  \nThe Challenge: Seven “peaks” have been designated by the Open Space Team as spots to take an Instagram photo. \nStep 1:  Take a selfie or group photo\, \nStep 2: Tag your photo with the hashtag #PixOnPeaks\, as well as the hashtag for the particular location where the photo was taken (see photos below for where to take your Pix and what hashtags to use). \nStep 3: Come into Parks and Recreation\, 1341 Nipomo Street\, to receive your T-shirt.  Be sure to bring your phone or camera with all seven photos\, especially if you don’t use Instagram.  \nFollow @PixOnPeaks on Instagram to begin your journey!

SUMMARY:Labor Day Art in the Park
DESCRIPTION:Art in the Park is an annual tradition started by the Morro Bay art community to give artists and artisans a place to showcase and sell their work during Labor Day weekend. As you enter the city on Morro Bay Boulevard\, cast your eyes to City Park and the sea of white tents displaying a rich mixture of works in a variety of mediums\, available for purchase. Presented by the Art Center\, this festival attracts both artists and crowds from near and far over this holiday weekend from 10 am to 5 pm.
