SUMMARY:Gallery at Marina Square Presents GARY FAIR
DESCRIPTION:Featured Artist:\nGARY FAIR \nType of Art:\nOIL \nShow title:\nOil Paintings by Gary Fair \nExhibition Dates:\nFEBRUARY 1 Through FEBRUARY 28\, 2016 \nOpening Reception:\nFRIDAY\, FEBRUARY 12TH from 5pm to 8pm \nWhere:\nGALLERY AT MARINA SQUARE\, 601 EMBARCADERO\, SUITE 10\, MORRO BAY\, CA 93442 \nContact:\n805-772-1068 \nHow Much:\nFREE \nArtist Statement:\nGrowing up in northern California\, and seeing sailboats on San Francisco Bay\, formed for Gary an indelible sense of wonder in the power of the wind. Being self taught requires Gary to work harder at seeing\, and capturing the image he feels. His work comes from his pure love for the light and shadow\, and the use of real color\, seen in and throughout where we live. Self taught artists paint from within\, first\, without instruction or the confines of rules and structures imposed by outside ideas and techniques. Their art is a part of them and involves a freedom that cannot be taught\, but can only be experienced. With Gary’s art\, one experiences his expression of moment and image.\nIn Gary’s words: “Through my paintings\, I try to capture the pleasure it is to live today\, here and now. Everything around us\, whether it’s sailing on the bay\, or viewing a flower garden\, you can be there through my art.”

DESCRIPTION:Join us as we share the trade secrets learned during construction of a zero energy home completed in 2015 in Grover Beach. Many contractors and designers are concerned about compliance with the upcoming 2020 mandate. Key strategies for new construction can reduce heating and cooling loads by 80% to 90% — with less than a 3% increase in building costs. Several features of the home were evaluated for cost-effectiveness compared to conventional building methods based on their real-world construction and operational costs and their return on investment.

SUMMARY:Saturday Live feat. Nataly Lola @ Vina Robles
DESCRIPTION:Every Saturday\, we invite you to slow down from your week\, sit back and enjoy live music – all while savoring award-winning Vina Robles wines. \nComplimentary. No RSVP necessary. Wine for purchase & tastings available as well as charcuterie plates. \nFebruary 6: Nataly Lola \nSinger\, songwriter\, and guitarist Nataly Lola has been consistently winning over audiences as she’s performed regularly along California’s Central Coast. Her distinctive folk-jazz repertoire coupled with her lyrics and melodies truly embody the spirit of Americana. \nA native of Santa Barbara County\, Nataly was fortunate enough to grow up in a very musical family. Her mother taught her to sing and play music at a very young age. Her influences include Joni Mitchell\, Tori Amos\, The Beatles\, and Tom Petty\, but you can hear strains of Bakersfield country in one of her newest songs\, “Daddy’s Shotgun” as well as influences from Brazilian vocalist Astrud Gilberto in “Meet Me At Midnight”. Harvest Road Music is proud to present Nataly Lola’s debut album\, just released last June!
