SUMMARY:Jubilee By The Sea Jazz Festival in Pismo Beach
DESCRIPTION:Every October our Club hosts “Jubilee by the Sea\,” a world class traditional jazz festival held in beautiful Pismo Beach. This festival has been successful each year since it began in 1976\, with fans streaming in from all over the country. It is held for four days at multiple venues including the Pismo Beach Veteran’s Memorial Building\, Marie Calendars banquet room\, and in tents located at the St Anthony’s Fair Ground and “on the beach” at the Addie Street parking lot. Buses run continuously to get you to all of the venues for another great show! Locally catered food and drinks are available at all locations. We have hardwood floors at all venues for your dancing pleasure! There are three-day tickets\, one-day tickets and student tickets available. \nDuring the course of the event\, we provide about 120 one-hour performances utilizing 20 bands plus guest artists. The festival takes place during the last FULL weekend in October. It is organized and operated solely by Volunteers. Click here to download a Jubilee Volunteer Form. This is a separate effort from our regular Sunday Sessions. Revenue from the festival helps fund the monthly BSR Sunday Sessions as well as our extensive Youth Programs. We need financial support to help us fund the Jubilee every year. Our supporters are called “Jubilee Boosters” and are entitled to special privileges\, depending on their level of support. SUMMARY:Arroyo Grande High School presents "Macbeth"
DESCRIPTION:AGHS Theatre Company opens their season with Shakespeare’s darkest and most powerful tragedy: Macbeth.  Macbeth is Shakespeare’s shortest tragedy\, and tells the story of a brave Scottish general named Macbeth who receives a prophecy from a trio of witches that one day he will become King of Scotland. Consumed by ambition and spurred to action by his wife\, Macbeth murders King Duncan and takes the throne for himself. He is then wracked with guilt and paranoia\, and he soon becomes a tyrannical ruler as he is forced to commit more and more murders to protect himself from enmity and suspicion. SUMMARY:Monday Club Presents Autumn Tea in the Garden
DESCRIPTION:The women of The Monday Club are hosting their annual Autumn Tea in the Garden to be held on Sunday\, October 25\, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at The Monday Club 1815 Monterey Street\, San Luis Obispo\, CA.  Their historic clubhouse was designed by renowned Hearst Castle architect\, Julia Morgan.  Ladies and gentlemen of all ages are welcome. \nEnjoy a vintage afternoon strolling the gardens\, admiring the historic building and shopping in the garden boutique.  Entertainment will be provided by the Shank Quartet\, a group of young string players who are all members of the San Luis Obispo Youth Symphony. Traditional tea fare will be served.  Each table will be set by a Monday Club member. \nTickets are $30 for general admission and $20 for children (12 and under). DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, October 25\, 2015 at 7 p.m. in the Spanos Theatre\, Cal Poly Arts presents LAS CAFETERAS and their unique “Dia de los Muertos” concert – a musical and cultural experience\, celebrating the living and honoring those who have passed through dance\, movement and songs.\nBorn in the streets of Los Angeles\, Las Cafeteras are immigrant children who are re-mixing roots music and telling modern-day stories with what the Los Angeles Times has called a “uniquely Angeleno mishmash of punk\, hip-hop\, beat music\, cumbia and rock … (Seen) live\, they’re magnetic.”  The band formed in 2008 with the purpose of documenting the histories of their neighborhoods through music.
