SUMMARY:Arroyo Grande High School presents "Macbeth"
DESCRIPTION:AGHS Theatre Company opens their season with Shakespeare’s darkest and most powerful tragedy: Macbeth.  Macbeth is Shakespeare’s shortest tragedy\, and tells the story of a brave Scottish general named Macbeth who receives a prophecy from a trio of witches that one day he will become King of Scotland. Consumed by ambition and spurred to action by his wife\, Macbeth murders King Duncan and takes the throne for himself. He is then wracked with guilt and paranoia\, and he soon becomes a tyrannical ruler as he is forced to commit more and more murders to protect himself from enmity and suspicion. The bloodbath and consequent civil war swiftly take Macbeth and Lady Macbeth into the realms of arrogance\, madness\, and death. \nThere will be 6 shows: October 23rd @ 7pm\, October 24th @ 2pm\, October 24th @ 7pm\, October 29th @ 7pm\, October 30th @ 7pm\, and October 31st @ 7pm. \nFor tickets please visit the Clark Center website listed below and if you have any questions please call them at 805-489-9444.

DESCRIPTION:Calling:  Civic\, Business\, Community\, Education\, Science\, and Arts movers and shakers \nFollowing the success of the 2014 Creative Economy forum\, we’ve lined up another day of engaging speakers and interactive sessions on the topics of innovation\, creativity\, imagination\, and collaboration. Whether you are a visual\, literary or performing artist or organization; arts administrator; arts patron; or a supportive business or community leader\, join us and be prepared to let your creative juices flow! \nCraig Watson\, director of the California Arts Council\, kicks off the event at 10am followed by interactive sessions and a panel presentation.  \nThanks to our collaborating partners: Cal Poly Office of the President and Cal Poly Corporation. \n$35 per person\, $25 for ARTS Obispo members\, $10 for students. Check-in\, art fair\, networking\, and breakfast bar open at 9am.  Box lunch provided.
