SUMMARY:Great American Melodrama Presents: A Dog's Life
DESCRIPTION:The Great American Melodrama presents the new musical A Dog’s Life performs March 10 through April 24. Performances are Wednesdays through Fridays at 7 p.m.\, Saturdays at 3 and 7 p.m.\, and Sundays at 6pm (On Thursday March 24\, a 2pm matinee will replace the 7pm performance). The Melodrama’s in-house snack bar features great food and drinks served before the show and during intermissions. Tickets are $19 to $25\, with discounts available for groups\, seniors\, students\, active military\, and children. Evans\nGuest vocalist: Leona Evans\n$15 donation\nAn accomplished pianist with a strong background in classical\, jazz\, and other forms of improvised music\, Mark Pietri has had a diverse and successful career. He has performed at various jazz venues in New York City\, San Diego\, Los Angeles\, and now on the Central Coast of California.\nMark served as Music Director for the Melodrama in Oceano as well as productions for the SLO Little Theater and the Cambria Center for the Arts. The original musical “Cancelling Cable (And Other Empty Threats)” written by Michael Kaplan with music composed by Mark Pietri premiered at the SLO Little Theater in January\, 2015. The production was a huge success.\nIn addition to performing in various jazz settings\, Mark is a busy piano teacher\, accompanist\, and vocal coach.\nMark Pietri is a consummate entertainer.
