DESCRIPTION:Cal Poly’s 2016 Annual Juried Student Exhibition\, featuring a wide variety of work made in Art and Design Department classes\, will open with a reception at 5 p.m. Thursday\, April 14\, in the University Art Gallery. \nStudents’ diverse creative abilities will be showcased in photographs\, videos\, paintings\, drawings\, graphic designs and sculptures — all on display until May 13.  \nThe exhibit is free and open to the public from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The University Art Gallery is located on the ground floor of the Dexter Building (No. 34).

DESCRIPTION:Shakespeare In the Raw – Shakespeare with a cellphone? Imagine the possibilities! Shakespeare in the Raw is 16 actors performing the best monologues and scenes from Shakespeare’s rich inventory of works. In this site-specific/immersive performance\, the audience will follow the bard’s “treasure map” to secret caverns where they will discover the scenes. Best of all—you are allowed to bring your phones! You will receive special messages and texts along your journey. Come re-imagine the works of Shakespeare. NOTE: Bring your cell phone if you have one and be prepared to move about campus to various locations both inside and outside. If RAIN\, then all acts will be in the Experimental Theater.
