His work uses elements and ideas from politics\, television\, hip-hop\, science and economics to discuss the possibilities of time\, space\, empathy\, dignity and antagonism. His work has been exhibited throughout the U.S. including Armory Center for the Arts in Pasadena\, LAXART\, Regina Rex\, The Contemporary Austin\, and 5 Car Garage at Emma Gray Gallery. Additionally\, his work has been discussed in ASPECT: The Chronicle of New Media Art and his writing has appeared in Marcel. Murthy received his MFA from The California Institute of the Arts and his BA in Visual Art and BS in Physics from UCSD. \nGallery open Mon-Fri and 1st & 3rd Sun of the month.

SUMMARY:Vina Robles Amphitheatre Presents Chicago
DESCRIPTION:Hailed as one of the “most important bands in music since the dawn of the rock and roll era\,” the legendary rock and roll band with horns\, Chicago\, comes to Vina Robles Amphitheatre on June 29.\nThis year\, Chicago will be inducted into the 2016 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Chicago came in at #9 on Billboard Magazine’s recent Hot 200 All-Time Top Artists\, the highest charting American band. Their album Chicago Transit Authority was inducted into the GRAMMY Hall Of Fame in 2014\, and the band performed on the GRAMMY stage for the first time that year. Chicago is the first American rock band to chart Top 40 albums in six decades.\nChicago’s newest record of new studio tracks\, “NOW” CHICAGO XXXVI\, was released on Frontiers Records in 2014. It includes eleven brand new songs\, recorded on the road. Chicago has built a new recording system that is flexible\, portable\, powerful and musical. This new “recording rig” travels with the band. They have even created an online collaboration portal that allows even more performances to be worked on around the clock from remote locations. The CD package is a six-panel digipack with a beautiful 16-page full color lyric booklet.
