SUMMARY:Elusive Origins: Original Digital Art by Kathryn Bay
DESCRIPTION:The San Luis Obispo Museum of Art presents Elusive Origins\, an exhibition of original digital art by Kathryn Bay on view from November 4 till January 2\, 2017.\nBay majored in painting at UC Berkeley from 1960 to 1964. Bay channels the studious focus of a macro photographer and the elemental passions of a minimalist painter to find inspiration for her work. She has no interest in representational imagery. Though the foundations of her images may come from cracks in cement\, scaffolding\, fabric\, and leaves\, she blends and superimposes realism into a totally new state of being.

SUMMARY:Art After Dark
DESCRIPTION:Every first Friday\, hundreds of visitors converge on downtown SLO to see new art exhibits and add to their growing collections. With dozens of galleries and non-traditional exhibit spaces\, it’s SLO’s favorite night of the month to celebrate art for free! Though many shops are open earlier\, Art After Dark officially starts at 6pm and runs to 9pm. \nOn a typical Art After Dark\, over 20 galleries and non-traditional art venues (think restaurants\, boutiques\, and salons) spotlight the best of established and emerging local artists. They sometimes also feature the works of nationally and internationally acclaimed artists. Expect sore feet and creative juices to be flowing from 6 to 9pm on the first Friday of the month.

SUMMARY:SLO Little Theatre Presents: When the Rain Stops Falling
DESCRIPTION:Alice Springs in the year 2039. A fish falls from the sky and lands at the feet of Gabriel York. And it still smells of the sea.
