DESCRIPTION:Internationally-acclaimed artist Bruce Munro will create his largest artwork to date at Sensorio-an enormous multi-acre walk-through installation. Bruce Munro: Field of Light at Sensorio will use an array of over 58\,800 stemmed glass spheres lit by fiber-optics\, so that the landscape will be gently illuminated in multi-hued color-changing waves. \nPowered by solar\, the stunning exhibition will captivate visitors\, inviting them to engage with the landscape and environment through a surreal light based and sculptural experience. \nTo be unveiled in May 2019\, Bruce Munro: Field of Light at Sensorio will offer a breathtaking\, not to be missed experience that will attract thousands of visitors to California’s Central Coast\, enhancing Paso Robles’ reputation as a world-class destination. \nWant to get involved? Easy\, become a volunteer and help bring this project to life! \nVolunteer Specification \nVolunteers must be aged 18 or over\, hard-working and happy to follow instruction. An interest in art is desirable but not essential. \nVolunteers will be required to carry out the following actions/tasks whilst working on the following Installations: \nIt is preferred that volunteers work a minimum of three shifts. It is also preferable that volunteers stay with us for a whole day\, working both morning and afternoon shifts. DESCRIPTION:CANZONA WOMEN’S ENSEMBLE CONCERT:  \nCAFÉ CANZONA – KICKIN’ IT ON ROUTE 66 \nA musical-filled fundraising concert \nSan Luis Obispo\, CA – Canzona Women’s Ensemble will present the fundraising concert\, “Café Canzona – Kickin’ it on Route 66” on Friday\, May 3\, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at the San Luis Bay Estates Lodge in Avila Beach. \nThe evening will feature musical selections from stops along this iconic  highway including King of the Road\, California Dreamin’\, Along the Santa Fe Trail\, Meet Me in St. Louis and others – in addition to regional food selections\, fine wines\, delicious desserts and coffee. There will also be a diverse selection of auction items available for bid\, as well as a wine pull and gift card grab. The evening will feature 8 of Canzona’s leadings singers and pianist Dan Murry. \nThis special performance will take place on Friday\, May 3rd with doors opening at 6:00pm for social hour before the show begins at 7:00pm. A limited number of tickets are available for $75 per person or $140 for a couple at BrownPaperTickets.com. \nCanzona holds a unique place in the community as a champion of choral music for women’s voices.  The non-profit is a selective auditioned ensemble that includes 24-28 women from around the county.  Their mission is to further a love and appreciation for women’s choral literature\, to expand this literature by commissioning original pieces\, and to present the music with consistent excellence. The 24-voice group is led by co-directors Cricket Handler and Jill Anderson and accompanied by pianist Janis Johnson. Amidst a charged political climate\, they chose to portray the title character of Julius Caesar as the 45th president which brought on a firestorm of negative callers from around the U.S. This artistic choice sparked a conversation about the role & responsibility of art in politics and how it can be used to navigate deeply rooted divisiveness while maintaining our humanity. \nJoin us as we try to answer the age old and yet still very relevant question: How do we – the public – not let the few dictate the many? Most of the calls and voicemails you’ll hear in this production are verbatim; real people\, real concerns.
