SUMMARY:LightGabler LLP "Leave of Absense" Webinar
DESCRIPTION:California has the most leave of absence laws of any state\, and the list of available leaves continues to grow. Haws will discuss California’s leave of absence laws. \n\nTopics will include the following: \n\nWhat leaves are available? (hint…it can depend on your employee count)\nWhen is my employee entitled to a leave of absence?\nEligibility standards for each type of leave\nCan I just run FMLA and CFRA concurrently all the time? (hint … no)\nThe interplay between the alphabet soup (PDL\, FMLA\, CFRA\, SDI and PFL)\nInjured or ill family members\, domestic partners and the “designated” person\nThe relationship between WC\, FMLA\, CFRA\, FEHA and ADA\nBereavement and reproductive loss leave\nJury and witness duty\, school visits\, crime victims\, voting and more\nDocumentation of absences\nNotice requirements\nContinuation of healthcare benefits\nMandatory and voluntary benefits during a leave of absence\nReinstatement requirements\nAnd much\, much more…\n\n\n
