SUMMARY:San Luis Obispo Wind Orchestra Presents: Free Senior Dance Concert
DESCRIPTION:The San Luis Obispo Wind Orchestra (SLO Winds) is thrilled to announce a series of free senior dance concerts\, made possible by a generous grant from the San Luis Obispo Community Foundation. The first concert took place on May 15\, 2024\, and the next performance is scheduled for May 29\, 2024\, at Avila Senior Living in San Luis Obispo. The series will continue with more concerts throughout the summer\, bringing the joy of music and dance to seniors in our community. \nThe “Movement to Music” program is designed to enhance the well-being of seniors through music and dance. There is a physical therapist at these concerts coordinating with our musicians movement to the music. Each event features a variety of musical genres\, including swing\, ballroom\, and Latin\, performed by our talented wind and percussion artists. These concerts are not only a chance to enjoy live music but also to engage in physical activity that improves balance\, flexibility\, and overall health. \nWe invite members of the press to join us at the upcoming concert on May 29\, 2024\, at Avila Senior Living.
