SUMMARY:Woods Humane Society Presents | Catchella: A 'Festival' of Fee-Waived Felines
DESCRIPTION:  \nWoods Humane Society Announces Catchella: A Festival of Fee-Waived Felines \nAdopt an adult cat for free from June 14 to 23\, 2024 \n\nFrom June 14 to 23\, 2024\, Woods Humane Society will host Catchella\, a “festival” of fee-waived adult felines (age 5 months or older)\, to help its whiskered friends find homes. \n“During National Adopt a Cat month\, we want to take a moment to shine a spotlight on our ‘meowsical’ stars of the shelter\,” says Woods CEO Emily L’Heureux. “With the Catchella event\, we hope to help our adult cats stand out from the crowds of kittens currently entering the shelter so that they can find loving homes.” \nWoods Humane Society currently has 26 adult cats available for adoption\, with more coming in each day. Adoption fees for cats typically range from $65 to $100. These fees will be waived during Catchella to help remove barriers to adoption and make space for the large numbers of kittens in need of shelter. \nThe Woods Catchella festival begins Friday\, June 14 and runs through Sunday\, June 23\, 2024. All adoptable cats have been spayed/neutered\, vaccinated\, microchipped\, licensed\, and treated for parasites. Adoptions also include a voluntary 30 days of pet insurance and a free wellness exam at a local vet clinic. \n\nWoods Humane Society is located at: \nSan Luis Obispo Location: \n875 Oklahoma Ave\, San Luis Obispo\, CA 93405 \nAtascadero Location: \n2300 Ramona Rd\, Atascadero\, CA 93422 \n\nWoods Humane Society is open to the public daily from 12-5 pm\, with adoption hours from 12-4 pm

SUMMARY:Spokes: Board President/Chair Roundtable
DESCRIPTION:A facilitated networking and peer problem-solving opportunity.\n\n\nSpokes roundtables are facilitated\, peer networking and problem-solving opportunities. At the start of the roundtable\, participants introduce themselves and share some good news and/or something that’s “keeping them up at night.” They may also offer a “spotlight topic” for discussion during the course of the 60 minute session. \nA hallmark of the roundtables is confidentiality. The explicit norm is “what’s said in the roundtable stays in the roundtable.” This encourages mutual support and a candid exchange of ideas. As we meet in Zoom\, we request that participants display their name and organization and have their video on. \nFree to Spokes members – $10 registration fee for others\n*Please register to receive the Log-in Information.\nCurrent Spokes members should log in to receive free registration. Not a member? You can join for as little as $5. \nHeld online in Zoom – URL sent upon registering\nLimited to 12 participants
