DESCRIPTION:Summer Youth Ride Free\n\n\nYouth Ride Free is a Rideshare program that allows K-12 students to ride the bus for free during summer months. No pass is required. Students simply present their student ID to the driver (when they’ve been issued one – for younger students this may not apply). \n\nYouth Ride Free 2024 Service Dates: Monday\, June 10 – Wednesday\, August 14* \n*San Luis Obispo Transit will provide free rides until Saturday\, August 24\, 2024. \n\nExclusions: Regular fares apply to all Runabout\, SLO Trolley\, Morro Bay Trolley and Dial-A-Ride services.  \n\n

SUMMARY:Sunset Wine/Rail Excursion
DESCRIPTION:These fully-hosted\, docent-led excursions will depart from the SLO Railroad Museum at 11am taking a motor coach to the Santa Barbara Wine Collective\, arriving around 1:00 pm. Light refreshments will be provided on the motor coach trip to Santa Barbara. \nFollowing the roughly 1-hour wine tasting (6 wines)\, participants will have free time until 5:30pm sharp to visit Stearn’s Wharf\, cruise around more of the Funk Zone\, explore lower State Street\, eat early dinner at a restaurant\, or buy food for the return Amtrak trip\, etc. \nThe Amtrak Surfliner will depart Santa Barbara Train Station at 5:45pm and arrive in San Luis Obispo about 8:45pm after enjoying a Sunset train ride along the Pacific Ocean.  Limited food choices are available from the onboard Amtrak Cafe. \nCost: $129/person. Space is limited. \nAll proceeds from our rail excursions go directly toward supporting our non-profit educational mission.  In addition to this valuable experience\, please consider making an additional contribution on the checkout page. DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the 1 year anniversary of Club Car Bar’s grand opening! Live music\, great cocktails\, delicious food and giveaways! \nLive music by the legendary Monte Mills and his Horseshoe Band \n“The group is known as a country band and they do play mostly country music\, but they can just as easily slip into 50s and 60s oldies rock and roll\, 1940’s big band or Gospel. Monte personally loves to play and sing those old Bob Wills and The Texas Playboys western swing tunes. The band’s repertoire is mostly pre Garth Brooks. Instead of performing the new songs heard on the radio\, Monte has chosen to feature the songs that have become classics.  Songs like “Your Cheatin’ Heart”\, “Jambalaya”\, “Workin’ Man Blues”\, “Crazy”\, “Silver Wings”\, etc. will be with us always. The same can be said for the old Rock standards like “Johnny Be Good”. \nMonte’s years of experience have taught him what to play and when. Sometimes timing still is everything. The band doesn’t play from a predetermined list\, instead they are very sensitive to the situation and play what is appropriate at the moment. This kind of judgment can make or break an event and Monte and his band want to make each performance the best it can be for their audience.
