SUMMARY:Mission San Luis Obispo Spring Docent Orientation!
DESCRIPTION:COME TO OUR SPRING ORIENTATION FOR NEW MISSION DOCENTS! If you share our interest in California history – especially the history of our famous Mission – you’re invited to join the Mission San Luis Obispo Docents. Our Docents provide a vital service to the Mission Parish AND to the community as a whole. We meet each month on the third Saturday at 9:30 (except December) in the Youth Center. There’s no cost to becoming a Docent\, but it does require a commitment of time to work with our Docent mentors and obtain the training and orientation that will enable you to tell the fascinating story of our most beloved landmark at the center of our city. In addition to giving daily tours\, our Docents attend monthly meetings\, go on field trips to other missions\, attend conferences\, and generally enjoy learning more about the continuing history of the Mission and its role in our community… We know you’ll enjoy getting together in our monthly meetings as we all become more knowledgeable and (we hope) more interesting as we guide the thousands of visitors through our Mission every year.

SUMMARY:Development Directors Roundtable
DESCRIPTION:The Development Directors Roundtable is a collaboration between Spokes and the Association of Fundraising Professionals of San Luis Obispo County. \nSpokes roundtables are facilitated\, peer networking and problem-solving opportunities held monthly.  At the start of the roundtable\, participants introduce themselves and share some good news or something that’s “keeping them up at night.” They may also offer a “spotlight topic” for consideration during the meeting. \nA hallmark of the roundtables is confidentiality. The explicit norm is “what’s said in the roundtable stays in the roundtable.” This encourages mutual support and a candid exchange of ideas. \nParticipants are required to have their video on. \n*Please register to receive the Log-in Information.
