All people living with a disability / lifelong condition are invited to participate. Volunteers are needed to make it all possible\, so we hope community members will help us share the stoke!  We will need Instructors\, Water assist\, Beach support\, Booth help and more. AmpSurf’s mission is to Promote\, Inspire\, Educate\, and Rehabilitate (PIER™) all people with disabilities and their families through adaptive surfing and other outdoor activities to keep them focused on their abilities\, not their disabilities.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for Theater ABC’s and see what happens when kids use their imaginations to act out exciting and very funny stories every Saturday! This play-based drama class will combine songs\, games\, imaginative play\, stories\, and movement to introduce students to the building blocks of the performing arts. This session we are basing our class around the beloved children’s author and illustrator\, Eric Carle (Brown Bear Brown Bear\, The Hungry Caterpillar\, The Very Busy Spider). SLO REP’s ACT classes are a great way to develop motor and speaking skills\, build confidence\, and enhance early social skills and creative learning. With new class material each session\, this is a great class to repeat! Parents and caregivers are encouraged to help supervise their child in-class and are also welcome to participate.

DESCRIPTION:Join San Luis Obispo Repertory Theatre April 4th through May 9th in this 6 class class page to stage rendition of Treasure Island! \n\n\nSet sail for adventure in this story-to-stage acting class! Students will dig into Treasure Island and bring its bold characters and high-seas drama to life through scene work and ensemble storytelling. We’ll focus on character development\, clear storytelling\, and ensemble work together to shape scenes from the story. Along the way\, actors will build confidence\, collaboration skills\, and a stronger understanding of how stories translate from the page to the stage. The session will wrap up with a celebratory sharing for family and friends. \nThis class is for students ages 12 to 15 year old. SUMMARY:Neurographic Art Workshop with the JunkGirls
DESCRIPTION:Neurographic Art is a meditative drawing method developed by Russian psychologist Pavel Piskarev in 2014\, that combines art\, psychology and neuroscience to help process emotions and reduce stress. It is an accessible practice that requires no artistic skill\, focusing on the process of creation rather than the final result. \nIn this JunkGirls Workshop\, you will learn the basics of Neurographic Art by choosing a word or phrase you want to process\, draw your free-flowing lines\, round the intersections to create patterns that resemble neural networks and use your brush pens to add color. You will get your own set of 24 watercolor brush pens\, a dual-tip Sharpie Marker and a pad of mixed media paper (all of which you get to take home afterwards!)
