SUMMARY:Graffiti Removal Service Day
DESCRIPTION:Community members are invited to join alongside fellow volunteers under direction of a Volunteer Leader from the City of San Luis Obispo’s Police Department to help clean up graffiti in our city. Volunteers will start the day at a central location for briefing and to pick up supplies. From there\, groups will be assigned to various locations and come back together for debriefing and to drop off supplies. \nAll training and resources are provided. This volunteer opportunity is great for groups and individuals alike – community service hours for school or work eligible! Confirmation details will be sent upon registration including meetup location\, field point of contact\, and what to bring. DESCRIPTION:Join us for Theater ABC’s and see what happens when kids use their imaginations to act out exciting and very funny stories every Saturday! This play-based drama class will combine songs\, games\, imaginative play\, stories\, and movement to introduce students to the building blocks of the performing arts. This session we are basing our class around the beloved children’s author and illustrator\, Eric Carle (Brown Bear Brown Bear\, The Hungry Caterpillar\, The Very Busy Spider). SLO REP’s ACT classes are a great way to develop motor and speaking skills\, build confidence\, and enhance early social skills and creative learning. With new class material each session\, this is a great class to repeat! Parents and caregivers are encouraged to help supervise their child in-class and are also welcome to participate.

DESCRIPTION:Join San Luis Obispo Repertory Theatre April 4th through May 9th in this 6 class class page to stage rendition of Treasure Island! \n\n\nSet sail for adventure in this story-to-stage acting class! Students will dig into Treasure Island and bring its bold characters and high-seas drama to life through scene work and ensemble storytelling. We’ll focus on character development\, clear storytelling\, and ensemble work together to shape scenes from the story. Along the way\, actors will build confidence\, collaboration skills\, and a stronger understanding of how stories translate from the page to the stage. The session will wrap up with a celebratory sharing for family and friends. \nThis class is for students ages 12 to 15 year old.
