DESCRIPTION:Join San Luis Obispo Repertory Theatre March 31st throuh May 16th for Spring Musical Theatre Permance Class: Schoolhouse Rock! \nOver the course of seven weeks\, students will experience the entire exciting process of putting up a production of the cult classic musical\, Schoolhouse Rock! Students will participate in in-class “auditions\,” staging rehearsals\, tech rehearsal\, and performance! All registered students will receive a role in the 30-minute end-of-class show on SLO REP’s downtown stage. \nPlease note that this is a very collaborative class. Students will learn songs and simple choreography from a variety of kid-friendly Broadway musicals while building confidence\, teamwork\, and performance skills. Through games\, group numbers\, and plenty of movement\, young performers will explore how singing\, acting\, and dancing all come together to tell a story onstage. No previous experience needed—just curiosity\, enthusiasm\, and a love of performing! The class will end with a celebratory performance for family and friends.
