DESCRIPTION:The fully paved\, closed course is a point-to-point race starting at SLO High School and finishing at the Madonna Inn\, with a lolly pop at the back. The race starts at 250 feet above sea level\, with a fast loop around the tree-lined downtown area\, passing the Art Deco Fremont Theater\, Courthouse\, the historic Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa\, turn-of-the-century red brick\, classic architecture downtown architecture and Craftsman and Victorian homes.\nAthletes then head out into the hills\, vineyards and farmland of the Edna Valley\, with three rolling climbs ranging from 75 to 175 feet each\, peaking at 375 feet above sea level. The race wraps up downhill and flattens at the spectator-friendly finish line at the Madonna Inn where the SLO Life Expo will be in full swing! Expect ideal running weather with coastal fog and an average starting temperature of 54 degrees. High temperatures usually hover between 66-69 degrees.

The Mighty Croon Dogs will be playing their fun mix of rock\, soul\, jazz\, blues and swing.Purchase delicious BBQ from Stein’s BBQ and Catering (cash only food tent)\, or bring your own dinner to throw on our community grill. Wines will be available to purchase by the glass or bottle. We’ve got plenty-please leave outside alcohol at home. Wine tasting is included with the price of admission until 7:00 PM.\n$10 per person\, Wine club members are FREE. SUMMARY:Art After Dark
DESCRIPTION:Every first Friday\, hundreds of visitors converge on downtown SLO to see new art exhibits and add to their growing collections. With dozens of galleries and non-traditional exhibit spaces\, it’s SLO’s favorite night of the month to celebrate art for free! Though many shops are open earlier\, Art After Dark officially starts at 6pm and runs to 9pm. \nOn a typical Art After Dark\, over 20 galleries and non-traditional art venues (think restaurants\, boutiques\, and salons) spotlight the best of established and emerging local artists. They sometimes also feature the works of nationally and internationally acclaimed artists. Expect sore feet and creative juices to be flowing from 6 to 9pm on the first Friday of the month.
