SUMMARY:Beth Wonson to present on Cultivating Donor Connections Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Beth Wonson to present on Cultivating Donor Connections \nThe Association of Fundraising Professionals SLO County will hold their May educational program for free virtually on May 14\, 2020. \n  \nThe Association of Fundraising Professionals San Luis Obispo County Chapter (AFP SLO) is pleased to announce their May education program will take place virtually on Thursday\, May 14\, 2020 from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm. Beth Wonson\, CEO of Beth Wonson & Company\, and founder of Navigating Challenging Dialogue®\, will present on the topic of Cultivating Donor Connections. \nDue to the Coronavirus pandemic\, this virtual program is being presented free to members and nonmembers. To receive the Zoom meeting information\, kindly register at www.afpsloco.org  \nOr click the link here! \nIn the presentation\, Beth Wonson will lead attendees through a simple yet highly effective mindset process that she teaches top leaders in nonprofits\, government agencies and corporations. This process will help pave the way for you to foster connections and develop the kind of relationships that can lead to donor loyalty and support. \nUsing elements from her program\, Navigating Challenging Dialogue®\, Beth will teach you simple steps that you can easily deploy to help you to self-manage the emotions and fears that create invisible roadblocks to human connection. For more information and to register for the free program\, visit www.afpsloco.org. \n  \n  \nABOUT BETH WONSON \nBeth founded Navigating Challenging Dialogue in 2015 out of frustration for the ways in which traditional leadership skills fail the mission and goals of organizations. Beth realized one of the most critical needs was an awareness of the importance of emotional self-management. \nBy exploring how our brains work\, Beth recognized how emotions and thinking errors impact our ability to create positive work environments. By applying what she learned into her practice with clients\, she developed the process of Navigating Challenging Dialogue. \nThe four-stage NCD Process is for managing yourself and your ability to communicate effectively with curiosity and clarity. The NCD Process is unique in that it is successful in any place where human interaction is critical. \n  \nABOUT AFP SLO COUNTY \nThe Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) is an international association for development professionals with a mission to advance philanthropy by enabling people and organizations to practice ethical and effective fundraising. The core activities through which AFP fulfills this mission include education\, training\, mentoring\, research\, credentialing and advocacy. \nOur local AFP chapter is committed to supporting development professionals throughout San Luis Obispo County. Our members include development directors\, fundraising consultants\, grant writers\, volunteer fundraisers\, foundation executives\, and all interested individuals who participate in fundraising and philanthropy. \nAFP SLOCO has regularly scheduled lunch meetings featuring speakers and topics relevant to our everyday work.
