SUMMARY:Point San Luis Lighthouse Paint N Sip
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a one-time afternoon of wine and painting at the Point San Luis Lighthouse with celebrated artist Andrea Olivier. As part of the ongoing 130th Anniversary celebration of the historic Point San Luis Lighthouse we will be hosting a fun night of wine\, painting\, and beautiful views. \nTicket price includes wine\, appetizers\, art supplies\, and transportation to and from the Lighthouse. Come celebrate our 130th Anniversary and have a great time. \nThis event is generously sponsored by Verdad and Lindquist Family Wineries. \nAbout the Instructor: \nAndrea Olivier was born and raised in the former Czechoslovakia. She came to the United States after earning her degree in Civil Engineering and Architecture\, right after the communist regime collapsed. She earned a Computer Science degree here in the U.S.; however\, her heart was always set on art\, photography and travel. She started pursuing those shortly after and spent years traveling\, living abroad and volunteering for different medical missions\, documenting their work in photographs. In 2010 she opened the Little Art House Studio in Los Angeles where she was teaching art classes including art history to children and adults. Her students not only learned about different artists\, they were taught different art techniques using acrylics\, aquarelle\, pastels and pencil. \nAndrea and her two children moved to San Luis Obispo more than four years ago where she has been mostly establishing herself as a photographer. Even though she doesn’t teach at her LA based studio anymore\, she teaches various art workshops\, private events as well as private lessons here on the Central Coast. Her work ranges from mixed media portraits to watercolor still life to acrylic abstract and modern art. \nParking for the event is located at Wild Cherry Canyon\, a dirt parking located on Avila Beach Drive in between the town of Avila Beach and Port San Luis. If you are driving towards Port San Luis you will pass the Cal Poly Pier on your left side. From there the parking lot is located one half mile down the road on the right side. A large white Lighthouse Tour Parking banner is affixed to the fence. Pull up to the gate to check in. We will be using comfortable SLO Safe Ride vans. Please bring a light layer in case it gets chilly. \nBuy Raffle Tickets to Further Support the Lighthouse. DESCRIPTION:Take Part in the PRWCA’s Blood Drive\nKeeping our local area supplied with the blood it needs is a year-long challenge\, and summer is the most difficult time for blood donations in San Luis Obispo County. All members will have to do is state what business or organization they are donating on behalf of when they arrive to count towards their score. Family and friends are welcome to donate on their behalf too! \nWith the current COVID-19 situation\, we highly recommend scheduling a time using the orange link below as appointments will be honored before walk-ins. \nWe invite you to support the PRWCA\, Broken Earth Winery and Vitalant in providing blood to our county.
