Good Morning SLO Soapboxes, Flyers & Promotions

Nearly 300 local business and community leaders attend the Chamber’s monthly Good Morning SLO breakfast. Members can buy their way onto the stage through a Soapbox, get a Promotional Table or share Flyers. Please note that due to popularity, members are limited to one soapbox per six months.

Soapbox: get on stage and say (almost) anything you want. For $175 it includes:

  • 1 breakfast
  • 2 minutes on stage
  • Flyer distribution (please see details under ‘Flyers’)
  • Optional table presence for $55 (see below)
  • Audio intro (arrive at 7 a.m. with CD only and see tech)
  • Please note that PowerPoints are not permitted and that members are limited to one soapbox per six-month period

Promotional Tables: Share your business without the glare of the Soapbox spotlight. For $110 ($55 with Soapbox) it includes:

  • A table to display your information, sell event tickets and introduce yourself before and after the program.
  • Tables are first come, first serve
  • Does not include breakfast

Flyers: Distribute your material to Good Morning SLO attendees and in the Visitor Center. For $80, your flyer will be:

  • Emailed directly to that month’s attendees the morning of the event
  • Physically distributed (up to 100 copies) at the registration table as attendees leave
  • Prominently displayed in the SLO Chamber Visitor Center for one week following the event

Please note:

  • All Good Morning SLO registrations, and marketing opportunities are non-refundable within seven days of the event
  • The opportunities listed above are available only to SLO Chamber members in good standing
  • Good Morning SLO Sponsors have the exclusive opportunity to place flyers on attendee seats

Official City/County Map

Sold through the Visitor Center and included in relocation packets, more than 30,000 City/County maps are distributed annually. The map features local bike paths as well as hiking trails. Advertisers receive additional exposure on www.VisitSLO.com as well as on online maps.

Relocation and Referral Guide

We’re building a recruitment package for your business. Reach more than 4,000 business leaders and countless prospective employees through the Chamber’s newly redesigned Relocation and Referral Guide. Use it to attract prospective employees looking for information about schools, home values, crime rates, where to live for warm nights, where to look for arts and culture and where a trailing spouse can look for either employment or coffee shop options. Also mailed with all Chamber relocation packages. An Enhanced Website listing puts your business at the top of Chamber Directory search results and allows for more information to tell your company’s story along with greater image options. e-Flyers

Looking for an easy way to reach 3,000 locals? e-Flyers is a monthly email advertising blast sent to the Chamber’s membership. All you have to do is send us your flyer and our staff will take care of the rest. Deadline for submitting e-Flyers is the 2nd Wednesday of each month. See what it is we speak of.
$175 per e-Flyer, non-profit rates available.

Host a monthly Membership Mixer

On the third Wednesday of each month, a different Chamber member hosts the Membership Mixer. The free networking event is attended by about 300 members.  If you are interested in hosting a mixer, please review the guidelines.

Political Candidate Members

• Candidates are eligible for two complimentary e-Flyers and more for purchase up to the election ($175 each).
• The Chamber will post up to one news release per month on the Member News page on slochamber.org.
• Candidates may purchase one Good Morning SLO soapbox every six months, following the same soapbox guidelines as other SLO Chamber members ($155). Best to reserve the month of September or October early as they will sell out.
• There is no limit on how many times a candidate can purchase the option to distribute flyers digitally and on the registration table at Good Morning SLO ($77 each, see above).
• If candidates wish to distribute campaign materials (yard signs, etc.) at Good Morning SLO, they musy book a promotional table in the courtyard ($110 each or $55 if adding to a soapbox).
• Distributing political campaign literature or promotional material at a mixer or other Chamber event (with the exception of the paid Good Morning SLO spot, see above) is not allowed.
• Candidates may provide informational rack cards and event posters for display, but we cannot post campaign signs. All rack cards will be on display on the resource wall, but not on the front counter.

Visitor Information Packets

Thousands of tourists come through the Chamber’s Visitor Center every year, and hundreds more call for information. The Chamber offers a ‘Visitor Packet’ to those inquiring about the area and looking for materials to plan their trip. Members can have their collateral included directly in these packets.

Relocation Packets

More than 400 requests from potential residents looking to relocate to SLO come into the Chamber every year. The Chamber provides a comprehensive packet of materials for these potential new residents. Members interested in reaching potential new residents can insert their collateral in the packet.

Membership Mailing List/Labels

The Chamber does sell a list of all the current members’ address contacts to members only. They can be purchased on self-adhesive label or Excel spreadsheet. They are one-time use only. We do not sell email contacts.
