San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce membership offers a vast range of benefits that can increase business visibility, boost marketing efforts, bolster connection with the business community and keep members up to speed with Chamber and community happenings. The SLO Chamber works diligently every day to connect the business community with ideas, inspiration and each other, bringing people together to shape the place we love.
All types of business can benefit from Chamber membership. Here’s how to utilize your member benefits to their fullest potential:

Free E-Blast
Reach more than 3,500 locals through the SLO Chamber’s e-blast, a monthly advertising email sent to the Chamber’s entire membership! Every member receives one free e-blast inclusion per calendar year. Send an 8.5” by 11” flier to [email protected] along with the corresponding URL to be included in next month’s e-blast. It’s an easy way to promote a sale, event, fundraiser or simply get your business noticed. Learn more about e-blast submission standards.

Free Ticket To Good Morning SLO
Your community newspaper brought to life, Good Morning SLO is a platform for sharing ideas, news and inspiration. A monthly program that brings community leaders, business owners, nonprofit executives and staffers together, and enables us to reconnect, engage and learn from each other.
Good Morning SLO happens on the fourth Thursday of every month, except November when it is on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.
Audience members leave with ideas and information about how to better their personal and professional lives by hearing from other Chamber members, nonprofit executives and staffers. Each member receives one free ticket to Good Morning SLO every year. Email [email protected] to reserve your seat.
Business Listings
SLO Chamber members receive a free, customizable business listing on our highly trafficked website, slochamber.org. All members will have a listing in the annual Relocation & Referral Guide, a publication sent to more than a thousand local business owners, placed prominently in our Visitor Center and live on our website.
Join A Committee
Behind every SLO Chamber public policy and business advocacy decision is a corps of volunteers. SLO Chamber members can sit on one of several Chamber advisory bodies working with business leaders to better the community and influence local policy. These committees are the heart of the Chamber and drive how we deliver on our mission and uphold our values. Learn more about the different committees and what they do.
Ribbon Cuttings
When a member joins the SLO Chamber, celebrates a milestone or opens a new location, they can schedule an official ribbon cutting ceremony. Ribbon cuttings are shared on SLO Chamber social media accounts and on slochamber.org. Ribbon cuttings are a great way to honor what a business has accomplished.
Advocacy On Your Behalf
Chamber staff Board, Ambassadors and Advisory Bodies work with elected officials, government staff, community and business leaders and local advocacy groups to ensure the business community’s voice is heard on the legislative level. Stay up to speed on local policy initiatives and important policy news through our newsletters and legislative events.
Whether you are an existing member or considering joining, the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce has something for your business. Reach out to our membership team or join us at an event to learn more about how you can promote your business and find connection.
