Nonprofit organizations can now apply for cultural event grant funding through the City of San Luis Obispo’s new Cultural Arts & Community Promotions (CACP) Grant Program, formerly called Cultural Grants-In-Aid. The deadline to apply is September 1, 2023, at 5 p.m.
Each grant recipient may use the funding for marketing and advertising of an event or activity of cultural, social, and/or recreational benefit to the residents and visitors of the City of San Luis Obispo. Interested organizations are invited to attend a CACP Grant Informational Session Webinar on July 31, 2023 at 1 p.m. Register online.
Applications will be evaluated on merit-based criteria. Events or activities that are eligible for this grant funding opportunity must align with the City’s core values and take place between January 1 and June 30, 2024 in the City of San Luis Obispo, or directly adjacent to city limits. The 2023–24 CACP Grant Program is funded through the City’s Promotional Coordinating Committee (PCC), which recognizes the significant contribution that arts and humanities have on the quality of life in San Luis Obispo and is dedicated to uplifting these organizations. The City will award a total of $60,000 for this grant program in the fall.
