The Central Coast Aquarium is excited to announce the 9th annual “Catch of the Central Coast” fundraiser dinner on Saturday, September 7 at 5:00 p.m., in the Central Coast Aquarium’s Ocean Discovery Park, Avila Beach.

This event will celebrate 30 years of marine science education in San Luis Obispo County and beyond! Under the stars, and within sight and sound of the sea, the event will feature dinner and local wine, beer and cider. Enjoy live music, and both a silent and live auction led by celebrity auctioneer, Zack Krone! “Our goal is to inspire people to think, act and feel connected to the ocean and its inhabitants,” says executive director Christy Kasarjian. “Holding our fundraiser steps from the ocean is the perfect place to celebrate marine education.”

Catch of the Central Coast is a benefit for the Central Coast Aquarium (CCA), a San Luis Obispo County non-profit 501c3 organization whose mission is to cultivate a community dedicated to ocean stewardship through education, engagement and action.

Many locals experience the CCA through its Avila Beach location and public aquarium, however, many are not aware that their primary mission is to serve the community as a marine science education center for children. The organization has been serving school children across six counties for 30 years. They continue to provide marine programs to over 30,000 students between Monterey and Santa Barbara every year.

Tickets are available now! Head to the CCA’s website www.centralcoastaquarium.org for more information on ticket, table and sponsorship opportunities. Admission for this one of a kind affair is $200 per person, or tables of 8 for $1,600.
