Wave Coaching is hosting a small, in-person workshop titled “Inner Strength, Outer Impact: Learning to Thrive in Change” at the Cal Poly CIE HotHouse in San Luis Obispo on December 10 from 5-6 p.m.

The 60-minute session will introduce practical focus, breathing and preparation routines, grounded in performance psychology, neuroscience and contemplative practice. The workshop is designed to help people handle busy or high-pressure periods more steadily in work, life and sport.

The session is suitable for business owners, executives, entrepreneurs, parents, coaches, athletes and community leaders who want to be more intentional about how they show up in important moments, whether that’s a key meeting, a difficult conversation or a competitive event.

“Pressure is not going away in 2026,” said Craig Law-Smith, founder of Wave Coaching and Adjunct Faculty member at Cal Poly’s Orfalea College of Business. “But we can train how we respond to it. When people have a few simple routines they trust, they tend to be calmer, clearer and more effective, without having to grind harder or burn out.”

Law-Smith draws on more than 35 years of international leadership experience and performance training. He has led teams at global brands including Google, Nike, Microsoft and Samsung, competed as a Division I athlete and earned a junior black belt. His coaching integrates neuroscience, elite sport and contemplative wisdom under Wave Coaching’s tagline, “Inner Excellence. Outer Performance.” Space for the workshop is limited and advance registration is required. Full details and registration are available on this Eventbrite link.
