Nonprofit organizations can now apply for grant funding for events through the City of San Luis Obispo’s Cultural Arts & Community Promotions (CACP) Grant Program. The deadline to apply is March 17, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.
The City will award up to $100,000 for this grant program. Each grant recipient may use the funding for marketing and advertising of an event or activity of cultural, social, and/or recreational benefit to the residents and visitors of the City of San Luis Obispo.
Mandatory Information Session
To be eligible for funding, organizations must attend one of the following two informational sessions, or watch a recording of the virtual session.
In-person Information Session: Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at 4 p.m. City Hall, Finance & IT Conference Room, 990 Palm Street, San Luis Obispo
Virtual Information Session: Friday, February 20, 2026 at 10 a.m. ZOOM: Register Online

Applications will be evaluated on merit-based criteria. Events or activities that are eligible for this grant funding opportunity must take place between July 1, 2026, and June 30, 2027, within the City of San Luis Obispo or directly adjacent to city limits.
