This spring, Sextant Wines is setting the table for a Basque-inspired Taste of Spring at their Almond Vineyard House in Templeton, California—an evening rooted in the lively spirit of Bakersfield’s Old Town “Basque Block.”
The Stoller family’s history in Bakersfield sits alongside one of the largest concentrations of Basque restaurants in the country, where long communal tables, flowing wine, and friendly debates over Spanish versus French traditions are simply part of the charm. Basque dining is meant to linger, with courses arriving generously and sequentially, unexpected pairings coming together in harmony, and conversation building with each pour.
We can’t imagine a more fitting way to welcome a new season than with a Basque-inspired dinner—celebrating heritage, abundance, and the joy of gathering around the table.
