The SLO Climate Coalition is proud to announce that SLO EarthFest, the Central Coast’s premier Earth Day celebration, will return on Saturday, April 18, 2026. This year’s festival moves to a new, larger location at Santa Rosa Park to accommodate expanded programming centered on the theme of “Resilient Futures.”
From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the community is invited to explore a wide array of sustainability exhibits and family-friendly activities. A cornerstone of the event, the EV Showcase, will feature the latest 2026 electric vehicle models and offer test drives. The first 50 test drivers will receive a $20 car detailing discount, providing a practical incentive to experience the future of green transportation.
“SLO EarthFest is about more than just one day of celebration,” says Jaybird Blue, Event Coordinator. “It is about building the collective power of our community to create a sustainable, resilient future right here in San Luis Obispo.”
Event highlights include:
- The Electric Pulse Stage: Powered by EV’s – Featuring your favorite local bands
- Climate Community Stage: Expert-led panels and inspiring speakers.
- Sustainable Makers Market: Featuring handmade treasures from local artisans.
- Wellness Zone: Yoga sessions and sound baths for mind and body.
- Firestone Walker Beer Garden: Brews from Firestone Walker and local wines available too.
- Kids Zone: Educational crafts and activities for the next generation of environmental stewards.
The event is free to the public, though registration via My805Tix will enter attendees into a drawing. As a zero-waste event, attendees are encouraged to bring reusable water bottles (single use-plastics are prohibited) and utilize the free bike valet.
